With player values now released, I thought it was the perfect time to take a look at this years bargain players. It looks more difficult than ever to create a team full of the big names – accommodating a premium goalkeeper, Van Dijk, Mane, Sterling, Salah, Kane and Aguero looks almost impossible. As a result we will all almost certainly need to look for a bargain where we can. I’ve added as many names to the list that jump out to me, however, feel free to add your own in the comments section below.

These were my first impressions having scanned through the player list PDF but I’m sure I’ve missed some. Feel free to throw in some ideas in the comments section. I’m sure at some point I’ll expand on this list by picking out a few who I feel are absolute bargains.

I think this year the pressure is on for the lesser players in your team to perform!
Yeah, there are quite a lot of potential bargains to be had this season with very few mid-priced options it seems (£4m-£4.5m).
It could be a case of going big or going budget with each position.
Absolutely – there won’t be any way of getting all the big guns in.
Hudson-Odoi could set things alight this season too and is nicely priced at £2.5m. 👀Definitely one to watch.
I’m looking at Coleman at £2.5m as well. Performed really well during the run in last season.
Definitely with you with Coleman – I had a him a couple of season’s ago and he did well for me then.
I’ve not seen today’s list as I’m stuck at work and the site is blocked. I’ve heard a few values had changed. If, as I hear, Tielemens is 2.5 then that’s the best bargian out of all players available. There is also another from Norwich City but I’m keeping shush on that front hehe
Tielemans is £2.5m you’re right.
Pukki I presume. None of the newly promoted teams really interest me at present FF wise but I’m open to having my mind changed.
Chilwell, Perez, Tielemans and Maddison could be decent cheaper options too.
Just realised Perez classed as a striker. N’ah not for me.
Tielemens is an absolute steal!!
I’ve not seen much about him I must admit. Is he an attacking midfielder?
Nope, not Pukki.
Their only player who will cream the points for his value when you look at how his style and workrate is ideal for the way the who scored rating system works.
Got to be Mario then. Can’t see any other appealing options?
Nope ;). Okay, I’ll tell you………………..it’s Buendia. He will be the star of their side this season as he’s got it all.
8 goals 12 assists last season. Confident he can step up to the big boys? Age on his side. If he can replicate that kind of form you may well have found a diamond. Maybe a period of adjustment initially though? It took Jota a while to settle into the PL last season.
Of course it’s a gamble (that’s why he’s only 2m) but from what I saw of him last season and after looking at what he did, not just in an attacking sense but defensively also; then I think he has the makings to do well for his price. I’m sure he came top or very close to the top in each category for the championship midfielder who made the most goalscoring changes, made the most assists and made the most tackles.
Saying that I don’t see him doing much first game and he is fiery………..well he is argentinian lol
Go for it mate! You never know, he could be this season’s Doc.

Killing my battery checking the app every ten mins. Where is the update
No idea what’s going on but did we ever expect it to go smoothly?
They always seem to struggle to get their house in order. I’m sure they give the gig to the new work experience kid every year.
Ryan Fraser is another one. 3.5 and Josh King!
Think I’m going for Fraser. I have King in my FPL but might just go two premium in a 4-4-2 for DT.
