Dream Team Top 10 Cheap Strikers

With a tight budget for next seasons game I thought it would be useful to look at my top 10 cheap strikers. I personally like to spend big in attacking areas and this seems to have paid off in the past. However if you’ve gone for a stronger defensive the list of cheap strikers below may be useful.

Lacazette – Arsenal (4m)

Points last season: 153
Games played last season: 38

Took a long time to get going last season at Arsenal but 4m still seems like a great price considering how he finished the season. The difficulty is knowing if he will form a partnership with Aubameyang or if they will be competing for the same place.

Jesus – Man City (4m)

Points last season: 147
Games played last season: 42

Started his Man City career with a big impact but has struggled a little bit since. He seems to be rotated a lot with Aguero and for me hasn’t scored enough goals. Still at 4m for a player who plays so close to goal for the current Champions is good value.

Morata – Chelsea (3.5m)

Points last season: 136
Games played last season: 47

Was a bit of a let down last season for Chelsea and I’m not even sure who will be their starting striker this season. If it is Morata, 3.5m is still a good price for a player in one of the top teams in the league.

Giroud – Chelsea (3.5m)

Points last season: 107
Games played last season: 43

For the same reason as Morata above. If he gets a lot of game time for Chelsea, I’d expect a decent points return and a quick rise in value.

Rashford – Man Utd (3m)

Points last season: 150
Games played last season: 51

Rashford managed a good points total last season with 150 points. If he can break into the first team as a regular starter this season, he could easily pick up a lot more.

Martial – Man Utd (3m)

Points last season: 133
Games played last season: 45

There’s probably more potential in Rashford than Martial but 3m is again a decent price. It also comes down to game time and I’m not sure he will get enough of it at Old Trafford.

King – Bournemouth (3m)

Points last season: 108
Games played last season: 34

Another striker who scored over 100 points last season. Not really someone who I would consider as I’d expect a much bigger return from my strikers. However if you’re really stuck for budget, could be an option.

Wood – Burnley (3m)

Points last season: 94
Games played last season: 26

Wood almost reached the 100 point mark last season and could be an option for August only. Burnley face two qualifying games in the Europa League (should they qualify to get there) giving them extra games during August.

Vardy – Leicester (4.5m)

Points last season: 174
Games played last season: 42

At 4.5m Vardy isn’t overly cheap but he’s also not on my list of premium strikers. He scored well last season and appears to consistently pick up points year after year in Dream Team.

Murray – Brighton (2.5m)

Points last season: 103
Games played last season: 38

Another who scored over 100 points last season but also another who I would consider as I’d expect a much bigger return from my strikers. However if you’re really stuck for budget, could be an option.

    1. He could do well and Southampton do have a good start. However I think all of the above are likely to score better over the course of the season. Plus he’s only selected by 0.6% of people meaning he’s not much of a risk to exclude.
