Call for Feedback and Suggestions

Creating and documenting the progress of my team over the course of the season has been an thoroughly enjoyable process and I hope many of you have found it useful. As the season draws to an end it seems like a good time to reflect on the blog and consider next season.

I’m hoping to continue the blog for next season and ideally I’d like to make it more informative and useful to other managers. Before making a decision regarding continuing for another season I’d like to get a feel for the level of interest in the blog and also gather some of your thoughts.

How you can ensure the blog returns for next season:

Comment below if you would like to see the blog return next season.

Provide feedback in the comments on what you liked and didn’t like about the blog.

Provide suggestions/ideas for the types of posts you would find useful next season.

Sign up to the mailing list. I can then send out an email over the summer when team selection for next season begins.

Running costs

A quick note regarding the costs and time involved to keep the blog up to date. The blog is a completely free resource of information and it always will be. However as you can imagine there are costs associated with keeping the website online. The in depth research is also very time consuming (but enjoyable). The small amount of advertising on the site currently doesn’t cover the cost of running the blog. As a result I’ve set up a donations link for anyone who would like support the website. Any donations would be gratefully received and would certainly help to ensure the blog returns for another season. If you’ve found the blog useful you can donate using the link below:

  1. I would like to see your blog return next season but give me plenty of time so I can copy you or follow your advice on transfers.
Can you do a weekly blog?
The best part is the transfer tips

    1. Hi Bryan, glad you would like to see the blog return. I’ve been doing a review of the game week weekly, what did you have in mind for a weekly blog?

  2. I would like to see it return next season. I like the transfers and upcoming fixtures blogs and the reasoning behind your transfers.
I can’t think of anything I’d like to see differently next season.

  3. just sort out the blog at the back end of the season, but found it very useful and informative, finished 4th and 5th in 2 mini leagues, just outside the money, as transfers for injuries and suspensions need to be made quickly at times, a weekly blog would be advantageous, hoping you will be back for next season, ur knowledge and insight r much appreciated, when wld u anticipate starting plans for next season.

    1. Hi Dave, thanks for your comment and glad you find the blog useful. What did you have in mind for a weekly blog? I currently do a weekly review of the previous game week, would you like to see something in addition to this?

      1. I wasn’t aware you had a blog every week, that’s alot of research , perhaps a review of the week ahead, as oppose to the previous week, sometimes transfers have to done on the spur of the moment, so we have to make quick decisions, the format that u use clearly works, judging by ur overall score for the season, so it’s difficult to improve a winning formula.

  4. Cant wait for next season…as a rule i get around 2,000 points per season following you may turn my 3rd or 4th place works mini league into finally nailing the first place !!
As long as transfers blogged prior to kick offs i cant see any problems..look forward to a title winning relationship next season !

  5. I had 2 teams in the same mini league this season, I finished 3rd & 6th, so I finished in a Money place.
I only came across your blogs with 2 months to go of which I was lying 5th&10th at the time, so my friend you helped me to a good finish.
I must admit I didn’t follow all of your transfer advice, but the ones I did helped me a lot.
    So thank you again.

  6. Hi, it would be great if you run DT Tips next season. This season you have definitely helped me win my mini league. I can’t think of any improvements – the format works very well. Thank you.
