Review of Game Week 37

Review of Game Week 37

GW Points: 16
Overall Points: 2,274
Overall Rank: 50,101
Transfers: Kane out, Sanchez in

Game week 37 is hardly worth a write up considering it only featured the FA Cup final. However for completeness I’ve decided to do a short post with an image of points scored by the team. With Chelsea keeping a clean sheet and Hazard getting the only goal of the game, this resulted in 16 points and a slight jump in the overall leader board. The transfer of Sanchez was a flop as he picked up 0 points but it was never a certainty that he would have a good game. Based on the position I was once in early on in the season 300,000 plus on the leader board, reaching 50,000 doesn’t seem like a bad achievement. However this is still a long way off where I’d have wanted to be at the start of the season. As a result the campaign can’t be seen as a success despite the good form of recent months.

  1. hiya…..strong finish my freind
are you going to do the sun world cup dream team blog ?
would love you to compile this

    1. I wasn’t going to bother with the World Cup one. However having seen the game go live I’m tempted to have a go at it. Didn’t plan on publishing my team as it was going to be a very quick pick with little time spent on research or thought process. I don’t fancy getting too wrapped up in it during the World Cup. Was looking forward to the break but publish my team if people are interested.

  2. Allrite hoping for a World Cup dream team blog. Early news 20 transfers think it opens sometime today!

  3. I was waiting for an end of season review post…. But just wanted to say that I have enjoyed following the blog this year.

I know that it hasnt quite gone your way this year, there has been some frustrating months and a lot of the time spent defending yourself (which must have become tiresome), but I think that everyone has enjoyed the discussion and appreciate the work that you put in to keeping the blog alive. I hope that this season hasnt put you off doing it next season. I am already looking forward to it 🙂

    1. Thanks Dean, I’ll put up an end of season post shortly. I’ve just come back from a weeks holiday. Looking at the World Cup game now, considering doing a team for that but not sure I’ll post it publicly as I won’t be putting much time into picking it. Will you be doing a team?

    1. Not yet, I can’t imagine it will be very long. It was a shocking season for me and I ended up finishing around 48,000. I doubt I’ll say much more than that. Are you doing a team for the World Cup?

      1. Was not planning to do a team for World Cup but your work has certainly inspired me. Very impressed with your planning and research. You should have a successful World Cup campaign.

        1. I’m hoping so. I’ve never played a World Cup game before so I’m sure it will be a bit of a learning curve.

          1. I played the last Sun World Cup game. My debut on fantasy football finished ranked around 8,000 out of a million or so players. I had no knowledge of strategies at the time and just played the game on a day to day basis. I like to think I am more better with experience.

The sun dream team World Cup was a different game back then with transfer windows (one after the group stage and one after the first knockout) with 9 transfers in total plus double points awarded in knockout games.

            1. Sounds like they’ve improved it since then. Hopefully I’ll have a better tournament than I did Premier League season. Might give me some motivation to do the blog next season.
