Review of Game Week 30

Review of Game Week 30

GW Points: 108

A good performance this week, great to see the team jump around 100 places on the leaderboard given how tight things are at the top at this stage in the season. Captaincy and transfers didn’t massively pay off but holding onto Porro did, I’d highlighted these easier Europa League fixtures a week or two ago so glad to see this move paying off with many losing patience with him. It was also good to see Dalot and Gvardiol picking up fairly decent points.

Here is my breakdown of each player:

Raya – delighted with 13 points, hold for me.

Gvardiol – good week but not ideal with a single game week ahead. I’ll probably hold for the double after though.

Porro – glad I held him and will keep for another double game week.

Dalot – 9 points wasn’t remarkable for a double week but I’ll hold him for now.

Asensio – 5 points not great but I’ll keep him with Southampton to play this weekend.

Rogers – brilliant game week, no reason to drop him yet.

Fernandes – season long pick.

Palmer – poor game week but I’ll probably hold for good fixtures ahead this week.

Saka – solid return but went off with a knock so I’ll keep an eye on his availability.

Salah – season long pick.

Son – poor game week but might be tempted to hold for fixtures ahead.

Plan for game week 31

Looking at the fixtures for the game week ahead, I’m not sure there is anyone I’m desperately looking to bring into the team. I may even roll my transfers so that I’ve got 3 next week. The team has performed well this week and with the second leg of European fixtures coming up it makes sense to roll with the same logic. I’ll keep my eye on the press conferences today and will confirm my final decision later.
