Another half decent game week, the team didn’t get a huge rise on the leaderboard but holding steady at around 400th is a good result for me. I was happy with good scores from Fernandes as my captain, this was also matched by Isak so I’m glad I bought him in. I was also pleased to see Dalot get on the scoresheet, he’s gone under the radar a little in previous weeks with his ownership still not being overly high within the top 1,000 teams but I’m glad I bought him in. Palmer and Asensio were the weaker links this week based on my expectations from them.
Here is my breakdown of each player:
Raya – 5 points wasn’t great but I’m not too bothered about the goalkeeper position.
Gvardiol – poor week but glad to have him going into the double game week ahead.
Porro – happy with 9 points, another decent return after a few awful weeks.
Dalot – very happy with 11 points from Dalot considering his relatively low ownership.
Asensio – 5 points not great again, considering moving him on despite a double game week this week.
Rogers – average game week but I’ll hold onto him.
Fernandes – season long pick.
Palmer – another poor game week with just a single against Fulham this week. May move him on but might want him back next week with Chelsea still in Europe.
Saka – solid return happy to hold and may be my captain this week.
Salah – season long pick.
Isak – very happy with instant returns.
Plan for game week 32
I’m undecided on what to do for game week 32 at the moment. I’m fairly certain I want Marmoush in. I’m also looking at Eze and Rice for double game week fixtures. Longer term I may take a punt on some players from Man Utd, Chelsea or Spurs given that they are still in Europe. I’m half tempted to put in some low ownership players to push for a higher overall finish, the likes of Garnacho, Solanke, Jackson, Maddison, Johnson and Kulusevski jump out but with all of them having single game weeks I’ll hold off for now.
