With the 2024/2025 season a distant memory, this is the perfect time to examine some of the stats around the best performing players to give us an insight around who to pick next time around. Below, I’ve examined the top 10 highest point scoring strikers.
1. Salah (Liverpool) – 503 points
2. Haaland (Man City) – 367 points
3. Isak (Newcastle) – 340 points
4. Watkins (Aston Villa) – 301 points
5. Cunha (now Manchester United) – 294 points
6. Gapko (Liverpool) – 282 points
7. Bowen (West Ham) – 277 points
8. Son (Spurs) – 272 points
9. Solanke (Spurs) – 266 points
10. Wissa (Brentford) – 258 points
As always, this list is dominated by players from the top clubs. However, there are a few interesting takeaways from the top 10. Salah significantly beat Haaland to the highest scoring strikers spot as Haaland has struggled to reach the heights of his first Dream Team season. There’s then a massive drop off to second place, but the rest of the list are largely names that we would expect – Isak, Watkins, Gakpo, Bowen, Son, and Solanke are all players who have scored well in the previous seasons. For me, an obvious take away is that players with a proven track record in the Premier League are a safer bet than new signings.

DTT, do you think Mane and Sterling need to be classified as strikers as Sky Sports game did last season? It would prevent teams from looking similar.
I’d personally say they are strikers and it would mix things up a lot so I’d be fully behind that move
Anyone know much about Mbeumo of Brentford? Midfielder with a lot of goals and assists if he can carry over that kind of form to the prem he could be a great enabler at only 1.5m?
I must admit I’ve never heard of him but I don’t tend to look at any players outside of the top 6-7 teams.
