Dream Team Best Player Picks 2024/2025

Dream Team Best Player Picks 2024/2025

In the build-up to the 2024/2025 season, I thought it would be useful to look at some of the best player picks. These are players that I’d expect to be up there as the highest scoring players come the end of the season. Budget won’t allow us to accommodate all of these within one team but these are my predictions about who I think will come out on top for each position.

Goalkeepers

I don’t like to spend too much budget on a keeper as they typically don’t score big points. However, here are the keepers who I think will score well regardless of value and budget:

Ederson – a constant in Man City’s defence and should do well again despite not being great last season.

Alisson – with Liverpool back in the Champions League I’d expect Alisson to do well.

Onana – Man Utd had the top scoring goalkeeper for another season in a row. Possibly because they have to make so many saves, however I’d expect the same again this season.

Raya – Arsenal were solid defensively last season and they should be again this time around.

Defenders

White – Arsenal are solid at the back and White should do well again after being the highest scoring defender last season.

Alexander-Arnold – with Liverpool back in the Champions League I think TAA will have a good season.

Saliba – looked brilliant for France in the Euros and should have another solid season for Arsenal.

Dalot – always seems to score well even if Man Utd have a bad season. If they improve this season he could do well again.

Porro – with Spurs in Europe, Porro could kick on from a good performance last season and score even more with additional games this season.

Gvardiol – was City’s highest scoring defender last season and could be again if he gets a lot of game time.

Midfielders

Palmer – managed a huge score last season without additional European fixtures. Could hit a big score if he plays in the UEFA Conference League.

Foden – the highest scoring player in the game last season should have another decent season ahead.

Saka – another one who is difficult to over look. Scored well last season despite a few injuries.

Fernandes – consistently scores well, if Man Utd turn a corner this season he could be up there with the highest point scorers.

Odegaard – another consistent player and I’d expect him to score over 200 points once again.

Forwards

When it comes to the best picks for forwards next season, the same names jump out based on previous scoring records. I’d predict one of these will be the highest scoring striker:

Haaland – I think he will be highest scoring player next season.

Salah – should do well again, depends if he plays in the Europa League or not.

Watkins – with Villa in the Champions League he should do well. However, I’ve got a slight question mark against whether Villa can live up to their performances last season.

Nunez – I think it could be a big season ahead for Nunez.

This blog only focuses on the potential highest scorers for each position. The game will be won or lost on the bargain players that fit into your team around these big names. Check out my other blogs for more information on those players.
