Tough choices this week but I’m struggling to move away from my original plan as everything has pretty much panned out as I thought it would. I started with Porro over Gvardiol as I didn’t like Man City’s fixture against Chelsea, I always planned to swap to Gvardiol and this appears to be a strengthened argument with Gvardiol keeping a clean sheet against Chelsea and is now due a price rise, City also face Ipswich at the weekend so this seems like a no brainer. The slight complication is that Porro also performed well but Spurs did still concede and he’s not going to score every week. Kulusevski needs to come out, again, he was only a 1 week punt and this was always going to be my second transfer. I need to bring in a 2.5m player, which is where things get difficult. Smith-Rowe is the player I wanted as he has 3 good fixtures on the horizon. The problem is that he didn’t perform well in game week 1 so won’t rise in value. The other player I considered was Murphy, but he also didn’t perform in game week 1 and I’m not sure I want 4 Newcastle players. I could jump on the bandwagon and go for a 2.5m player who is going to go up in value – but I’m not sure there’s any that I want to own more than Smith-Rowe. I could look at Onana but Villa only have 1 fixture this week and it’s not favourable (Arsenal). Veltman is also due to rise but again has a tricky fixture. Semenyo feels like a bit of a punt and not a longer term option so I’m going to stick with Smith-Rowe.
I did look at other options such as swapping Eze or Guimaraes for Gvardiol but I picked both players for a reason so I’m going to see that through.
