Game week 2 was much more positive. The decision to go heavy on Man City representation paid off with every player scoring points and Aguero totalling 35 points for the week. The 5 – 0 victory for City over Steaua Bucharest made for a great start to the week.
Positives
Aguero grabbing a hat trick during the European qualifier and two against Stoke proved why he is the must have player for any fantasy football team. Also Silva getting a goal and De Bruyne bagging a couple of assists also helped.
Ibrahimovic continued his fine start to the season with two goals against Southampton.
Potential Issues
Carroll injury. Carroll was chosen purely for the extra European games during the month. He didn’t start in mid week and only picked up 3 points. This is a decision that was already starting to look like a mistake. Regardless with the injury news I will need to make a transfer.
Question mark over Eriksen. With 2 games gone and zero points collected this could be an early transfer as it looks like he’s making a slow start to the season.
Tips for Game Week 3
The injury to Carroll will force me into a transfer during game week 3. My advice for the week would be to wait until lines ups for the EFL Cup are released and transfer in players who are likely to play against a lower league opponent but also in the premier league at the weekend. With August being a shorter month and 3 transfers available this could be a great opportunity to make some changes.
Players to Watch Out For
Chelsea: Costa and Hazard both picked up a good amount of points during the game week. If Chelsea put together a serious title challenge excluding both players from any team could result in a big loss of points.
