Review of Game Week 5

GW Points: 81
Overall Points: 316
Overall Rank: 5,662
Transfers: None

The additional Champions League fixtures seemed to pay dividends this week. Sanchez, De Bruyne, Sterling and Stones all scored a good amount of points over the two games they played.

Positives

Sanchez picked up star man awards for both games he was involved in. He also appears to be playing in the striker’s role. This transfer seems to be paying off already.

Man City had two fantastic home results with two 4 – 0 victories. Having a team heavily favoured towards City is contributing to a good amount of points early on the in the season.

Potential Issues

Overlooking Lukaku as a potential striker could be a problem long term as he hit a hat trick against Crystal Palace. He’s a proven goal scorer who could do damage if he is excluded all season.

Defensive problems – with Terry injured and Masuaku in a poor West Ham side I could struggle to pick up many points long term.

Not saving a transfer for Aguero was a mistake as he came back into the side and grabbed a hat trick.

Tips for Game Week 6

There could be an opportunity for extra points to be scored during game week 6 with EFL cup fixtures. However as I only have 1 transfer remaining my team is likely to remain unchanged. If you’re struggling to use transfers I’d recommend checking starting line ups for the top clubs before each game for the chance to grab some easy points. Liverpool away at Derby then at home to Hull could be a team I’d be tempted to look at.
