Game Week 1 Transfers & Captain choice

Game Week 1 Transfers & Captain choice

Just a quick update to confirm my game week 1 transfers and captain choice for game week 2.

Transfers:

Grealish out, Diaz in

Picking Grealish was a disaster for game week 1, I think most of us were surprised to see him benched. He’s now going to hold his value and face Newcastle in a tricky game week 2 fixture. I’d imagine he will start but I really fancy having two Liverpool players for the Bournemouth game. As a result, I’m bringing in Diaz. He’s 0.5m cheaper, is due to go up in value, is hopefully a more certain starter and has an easier fixture. For me that ticks a lot of boxes.

This leaves me with 1 transfer. I’ve decided I’m not going to use it. I’ve looked at swapping Saliba or Mitoma for Chilwell but I’m thinking this is just change for change sake. Chelsea do have good fixtures but that kicks in even more so after game week 2.

Captain choice: Salah

Boosters: I’m not using any

  1. I’ve done the Grealish to Diaz swap also but I’ve also used the 0.5 that change frees up to change Colwill to Diaby and switch from a 4-3-3 to a 3-5-2 for this weekend.

    1. Hopefully Diaz comes good. If I didn’t already only have three at the back I’d have probably swapped Colwill for someone else as well.

      1. oh ok.cheers Paul.

have changed my captain to Salah.
might be wrong, but with liv fix think he may
        get couple of goals.
        man city against Newcastle tough.

        1. I’ve done exactly the same thing for the same reason. Fingers crossed it pays off.

  2. Hi Paul…lots of good updates this season so far …many thanks. Just wondering about the league competition that you run. I know last year it was winner take all for £200, but there had been some views that it would be better if there would be a smaller first prize but a prize for 2nd and 3rd. I’m sure you have probably covered it and I have missed it but perhaps you can post it here and the what’s app group. Good luck for the season. Cheers steve

    1. Hi Steve, no problem at all – I went for £140 for the winner, £45 for second and £15 for third.
