I’m massively conflicted on how to use my two transfers this week, and it’s more of a case of who I want to bring in rather than who I want to take out. I’d actually be happy taking the team I’ve got not forward to game week 3 but I’ve also got my eye on Sterling, Foden, Eze and Mbeumo. I’m still unsure I’ve made the right decision but I’ve decided to just make one transfer again:
Diaz out
Sterling in
It’s a shame we can’t carry over a single unused transfer but I don’t want to make transfers for the sake of having two if I don’t think it improves my team. I’m slightly favouring Sterling over Diaz for game week 3 as I think Liverpool have a tough fixture against Newcastle and I like Chelsea’s fixture against Luton. Although I can’t see Sterling lasting long in my team.
I’m also very tempted by Foden, Mbeumo and Eze. However, the only player that logically makes sense to take out is Salah (everyone else is due a price rise or has good fixtures) and I think it’s a bit of a risk as he’s the kind of player who can score well in any fixture. I’d also want to bring him straight back in so I’ve decided to hold onto him for the time being. I think this has been the most difficult decision of the season so far for me as I really think it could go any way – any of Diaz, Salah, Sterling, Eze, Foden or Mbeumo could score well this week, and with such fine margins it’s a lottery at this stage without being able to see into the future.
Captain choice: Haaland
Boosters: I’m not using any
** I will be looking out for any injury news tomorrow so assume the plan above could change if we hear of any injuries. I won’t however be changing my team at the last minute if there are any leaks – if one of my Chelsea players isn’t starting, I’ll hold them hoping that they start in the Cup.
I have put sterling in for Fernandes.
just cant bring myself to get rid of Diaz.
maybe could be a big mistake, I think Diaz is
more inform than Fernandes.
Risky one with Man Utd playing Forest at the weekend but they could well continue with their poor start to the season even in that game.
Well that could’ve have gone much better.
Ideal start to the game week, fingers crossed those who I didn’t bring in don’t outscore Sterling very happy so far.
Impressive stuff Paul. I’ve been watching a lot of the youtube streams regarding team selection and very few of them were suggesting Sterling for this game week – Therfore your choice and reasoning for selecting Sterling was even more impressive.
I unfortunately didn’t heed your advice and have gone with Foden instead – time will tell whether this was a bad decision.
Keep up the excellent work.
Rob
Thanks Rob – delighted with the transfer and the points from Jackson or Colwill to be honest. It was a tough opening couple of weeks for those two but I did pick them for this game week and beyond. Hopefully the team can kick on from here, fingers crossed that the players I didn’t bring don’t score too well this weekend either.
