Review of Game Week 10

Review of Game Week 10

After a few disappointing game weeks, I’m very happy with the team’s performance during game week 10. It was far from perfect with City putting in a poor Champions League performance and Haaland being the wrong choice for captain but overall things went the way I’d hoped. This resulted in a massive climb on the leaderboard and I’m now back in a position that I’m happier with at this stage in the season. I’m also satisfied with 16 points from my 12th man booster in Foden – not a huge score but given how much of a lottery this booster is I said to myself that I’d be happy with anything over 15 points and that’s been achieved. For once my transfer plans this week might be more straightforward as well with a single game week coming up as I’m fairly clear on what I want to do, but more on that below.

Here is my breakdown of each player:

Kelleher – bounced back from a terrible game week with 13 points. Happy with that from a cheap player.

Lewis – awful game week with only 1 point but ultimately he’s the 4th highest scoring defender and only worth 4m so he’s still a great pick. I may tactically swap him out this week for a price rise on a different player though.

Gvardiol – 9 points from Gvardiol is another OK return considering City didn’t keep a clean sheet.

Alexander-Arnold – glad I held him despite the price drop, a good 15 points this week.

Tielemans – 6 points wasn’t great, probably move him on this week.

Saka – 9 points across two games wasn’t amazing from Saka but he’s a pick and stick for me.

Rogers – happy with 12 points for Rogers this week. Keep at his value.

Fernandes – delighted with 21 points in his first week in my team. Stays in for the rise and good fixtures.

Garnacho – not a great start with only 6 points but I’ll keep him for good fixtures.

Haaland – not happy with 6 points from Haaland, could have been a different story had he scored the penalty but he didn’t so it was a bad week for him.

Salah – good points from Salah, would have benefited those who captained him more though. Obviously stays in my team.

Player watchlist

Dalot – could be an easy swap for Lewis as he’s a similar price and getting good points. May also get a rise in value and has good fixtures.

Johnson – keeps picking up points and would be affordable for Tielemans this week to get him in before the Ipswich game.

Kulusevski – another cheap enabler for Spurs but less assured of game time.

Mbeumo – feel like this ship has sailed but he could do well again this week.

Palmer – one to watch but not looking to bring him in this week.

Solanke – will go up in value and plays Ipswich this weekend. I’d be 0.1m short if I wanted to take Tielemans out though.

Diaz – continues to cause me problems this season but I’m not sure I’ll bring him back in just yet.

Plan for game week 11

Transfers this week seem very straightforward, I want to lose Lewis and Tielemans with Lewis set to drop and more risk of rotation with a single game week. Villa face Liverpool so I think it’s time for Tielemans to go. Spurs play Ipswich so it’s worth bringing in one of their players – they face City after the break though so it’s probably only worth it for one week. Johnson would be affordable. This would allow me to swap Lewis for Dalot, who might go up in value and has good fixtures ahead. Seems like a no brainer to me this week, as it’s the two players top of my list to bring in and the two top of my list to lose.

  1. Another option might be Mazourl for Lewis. The other Man U full back is not as attacking as Dalot , but good for bonus
And outscored Dalot this week .
This is your route to Solanke over Johnson. Solanke gets a big price rise and plays upfront v Ipswich
