Another half decent game week – a slight rise on the leaderboard puts me in a very good position going into the international break. My transfers didn’t pay off massively but I think the team is fairly well set up moving forward. I’ve got some slight concerns over the likes of Smith-Rowe, Burn, and Rogers longer term as they didn’t deliver many points this week and will be hard to replace. I also need to take McCarthy out as he’s not going to play ahead of Ramsdale now. Overall though I’m very happy with big performances from the likes of Haaland, Salah, Eze and Salah. I’m not massively convinced that bringing Palmer in was the right move long term either but we will see how that plays out – Chelsea do have good upcoming fixtures after all.
Here is my breakdown of each player:
McCarthy – will need to come out as he now won’t start ahead of Ramsdale.
Robinson – another 6 points from Robinson was a good result considering Fulham didn’t keep a clean sheet against Leicester.
Gvardiol – hasn’t been great since I bought him in but 5 points weren’t all bad considering City lost the clean sheet.
Burn – wouldn’t be the end of the world if I had to stick with him with Wolves coming up after the break but not happy with only 1 point this week.
Palmer– decent return from his first game in my team. High value though so I’m hoping he plays in Europe.
Saka – happy with 11 points. Stays in my team.
Eze – very happy with 10 points from Eze, stays in my team for at least another week as he should rise in value.
Smith-Rowe – can’t expect big returns from a 2.5m player every week but I fear Smith-Rowe won’t be a big point scorer this season. There are probably better options for this price point so I’ll be looking to move him on.
Rogers – happy with his 0.2m price rise but I’d hoped for more than 3 points. Will keep hold of him with Everton coming up next but will want to see a little more during game week 4.
Haaland – typical Haaland performance, stays in my team and probably captain every week.
Salah – another good performance from Salah. Stays in my team.

Player watchlist
Diaz – another good option after a brilliant haul against Man Utd, will rise in value.
Onana – opted for Rogers over Onana which didn’t pan out well this week. Onana could be a good option as European fixtures kick in.
Alexander-Arnold – scored well again and will soon be out of reach. I don’t think I’ll be able to get him in this week though.
Foden – won’t be bringing him in this week but will be monitoring when he’s likely to be starting games.
Mainoo – didn’t score well this week but I’ll continue to monitor him after a good first two weeks.
Jota – if he stays fit and starting for Liverpool, he could hit a big score this season.
Pedro – a good fixture on the horizon against Ipswich after scoring again this weekend. Could be a good option at his price point.
Henderson – I’m going to need a new keeper and Henderson looks like one of the best options at a low cost. I’ll need to look into this further. I may even keep McCarthy for another week as he should play in the cup.
Plan for game week 4
Very difficult to say what my transfer will be at this stage with an international break on the horizon. Ideally, I’d take out Smith-Rowe, Burn, and McCarthy but obviously, I can only take out two of them. They are also going to be hard to replace given their low value. I’ve had a very quick look and I could swap Smith-Rowe and Burn for Pedro and Digne, both should go up in value but I’m not sure I want either long term with European fixtures kicking in. I could also do Smith-Rowe and Burn out for Onana and Konate or Lewis. I can see problems with this as well though – I don’t want two cheap Villa midfielders, Konate will only pick up clean sheet points and Lewis will almost certainly be rotated. A huge amount to think about over the next couple of weeks.
Onana gets 8 points drops 03ml
must be a mistake.
I think he scored 1 point in game week 2 so dropped by 0.3m. He scored 8 points in game week 3 so I’d expect him to rise when values next change.
