As we begin to move into the new season, I thought it was worth a quick recap of games that will and won’t count from a Dream Team perspective. Obviously, all Premier League games count but I thought it would be worth looking at the cups and playoff games.
Does the Charity Shield count for Dream Team?
The short answer is no. Dream Team points aren’t available for the Charity Sheild and as far as I know, they never have been. Matches only ever count after the first game in the Premier League kicks off.
Does the FA Cup and Carabao Cup count for Dream Team?
Yes, they do. Both domestic cup competitions count. It’s also worth noting that the Carabao Cup kicks off in August, where clubs from the Premier League enter the draw (who aren’t involved in Europe). This effectively gives these clubs an extra game during the month.
Does the Champions League count for Dream Team?
Unlike other fantasy football platforms, the Champions League does count in Dream Team. I often favour picking players who face less rotation from teams involved in this competition.
Does the Europa League count for Dream Team?
Yes it does, in the same way that the Champions League counts, the Europa League can also generate points. Often teams have less difficult opposition in this competition but face more rotation. Potentially big points are up for grabs but with less certainty over who will get them.
Does the Europa Conference League count for Dream Team?
Yes, this competition also counts.
Does the uefa super league count for points? Man City v Savilla.
I don’t believe so
