Benrahma is starting on the bench and I’ve not been overly impressed by him lately anyway. As a result, I’m taking him out and gaining 0.5m in value to spend elsewhere.
Benrahma out Moura in

I’ve decided to hold fire on any more transfers today. December is a long month and we could easily burn through our transfers in the first game week. I’ll still take Mbeumo out tomorrow but I’ll have the opportunity to see how Man Utd line up at the same time.
This means I will hold Fernandes for one more week, but that’s not an overly risky move as we know what he can be capable of. If he misfires again under a new manager this week, his time will be up and Cancelo can come in next week – after we’ve got through the first game week in December.
It won’t impact who I can bring in for Mbeumo as there aren’t any decent options jumping out at me anyway. At the moment, I’m considering Maddison (but I don’t like his fixtures). There’s also Sancho, who has had a really bad start to the season but we’ve seen what he’s capable of in Germany. Who knows, under a new manager he could be a steal at 3.1m and a bit of coverage if I were to move Fernandes on. Really struggling for a decent option in midfield under 3.8m
Your point on struggling for midfielders pretty much sums up SDT this season doesn’t it Paul. If you’ve loaded most of your money into strikers and defenders this season then the chances are you’ve done very well.
I also think playing the fixtures hasn’t worked as well this season. As you say, if we had ignored the early fixtures and just loaded up and good defenders we would probably be in a better position. I’ve never quite realised how important it is to get off to a good start. If you can get top 10,000 early doors, you don’t have to do an awful lot to stay there. Playing catch up is very difficult
