I don’t want to risk carrying both Timber and Saka into the game week given it’s not clear if they are fit or not. As a result, I’m swapping Timber for Calafiori as a bit of a like for like change. I also don’t want to keep Pedro for a single game week against City so I’m bringing in Gyokeres as a bit of a punt. I’m also taking a risk by captaining him. Trying to go a slightly different way to others to catch up on the leaderboard. On this basis, I’m also keeping Wirtz but if/when Liverpool exit the Champions League, I’ll be moving him on. I did consider Sarr but as Palace are already 3 – 0 up in Europe I might save him for next week. He’s also going to be the obvious choice for most people so if I’m trying to go a different way to gain ground then this won’t help me much at the moment. This leaves me with 2 transfers so I should have 4 again by next week so plenty in the bank to make a lot of changes when teams drop out of Europe or progress this week.
