October Transfer 4

October Transfer 4

Firstly I’m happy to see Traore starting today as that saves making a decision on him. Torres still needs to come out though. It looks like City have rotated a lot today, my plan was to bring in Walker but he’s benched. I’m going to bite the bullet and make this move anyway as I don’t think anyone is safe from rotation at City with Dias also on the bench. Hopefully Walker plays midweek and with Torres injured we can’t afford to wait around.

Ideally, I’d go De Bruyne but that’s not going to be possible with Bruno, Lukaku, Salah and Ronaldo already in the team.

Torres out
Walker in

It’s not ideal bringing in a player who isn’t starting but we’ve got three game weeks ahead so we need to think longer term. I was tempted by a punt on Sterling or B. Silva but over the month, I just can’t help but think Walker is a better option.

  1. “Chelsea have the weakest defence in the top” said by Paul Scholes earlier in the week. Are you sure you know what youre doing?

    1. Quite clearly I think it’s Paul Scholes who’s the one who doesn’t know what he’s on about. The stats and league standings speak for themselves. Does he honestly believe United are more solid at the back than Chelsea? Have a day off son…🙄

  2. Finding myself with less time on my hands at the moment so I’ve decided to make the tough decision of forgetting about all my teams not involved in ML’s. Just focussing in on the teams that matter in a bid to turn around the diabolical start I’ve had.

Went for two moves with my final two transfers which luckily paid off. Need to probably shift Alonso out next month though as I’ve got the timing completely wrong with bringing him in. Same might go for Bertrand as well now if he stays on the bench. Pretty much sums up the season so far though tbh…😂

Here’s my lot as it stands:

    Sanchez
    TAA
    Alonso
    Rudiger—>Cancelo
    Bertrand
    KDB
    Torres—>B.Silva
    Benrahma
    Ronaldo
    Salah
    Lukaku

A mixed bag but at least I’m up on the transfers. 0 transfers left now though so I need a bit of Lady Luck for the remainder of the month, something that’s been in short supply thus far…

    1. It’s been a tough start to the season for most I think. What you thinking about the front three? When they aren’t performing and funds are tied up in them, it makes it very difficult. Ronaldo and Lukaku just aren’t getting the returns I’d hoped for.

      1. One of them is going to have to come out for November I think for Kane as Spurs’s fixtures become pretty decent. I guess I’ll make the decision come the end of October as to who will make way.

  3. Here’s my rabble, for what it’s worth.
    De gea
    Rudiger
    Azpilcueta
    Dias
    Walker
    Benrahma
    Moura
    De bruyne
    Ronaldo
    Lukaku
    Salah
Last transfer De gea to Ederson, Thursday or Friday, annoyingly would of made that transfer at the weekend, bloody internationals, 1st transfer November, Moura to B. Silva, tight for funds, worrying observation, Lukaku’s form, another 10pts for Kane, with possible game time on Thursday against weak opposition, Lukaku buck your ideas up son, October’s fixtures are in your favour, but you maybe on borrowed time.

    1. Ronaldo and United in general aren’t pulling up any trees recently either. So frustrating to see consecutive blanks from two players with the most funds invested in (Lukaku & Ronny). Tough fixtures up until December really now for United too. OGS will do well to still be at the helm come Christmas.

    2. What about Ronaldo? Man Utd’s form is a concern for me. He’s due a big game but will it ever come

  4. my to teams.
    Mendy
    Robertson
    Rudiger
    Silver
    Benrahma
    Kovasic
    Fernandes
    B Silver
    Lukaku
    Salha
    Ronaldo
    40 points

    Ederson
    Rudiger
    Dias
    Wanbissaca
    Fernandes
    D Bruyne
    Kovasic
    Benrahma
    Antonio
    Kane
    Salha

    26 points

still 50 points behind in mini league both in 10th place

  5. I have one transfer left for the month but am very tempted to switch Alisson to Ederson tonight, if he starts, as would free up another £0.3m to make £2.5m ITB to upgrade Bertrand next month. It also offers me a consistent way into the City backline for the month although appreciate Ederson is usually capped at 5pts bar an occasional assist! The alternative would be to upgrade Bertrand now to Zinchenko (all I can afford) and just hope he gets some minutes this month now he’s back from injury. I do think Cancelo is preferred by Pep so I would have some concerns having Zinchenko but surely Walker and Cancelo will be rotated/rested as well. Leicester can’t keep a CS and Bertrand could now be on the bench so waiting for November’s transfers to address feels long… Oh what to do!!?

    1. So I switched Alisson to Ederson on Tuesday and therefore avoided Alisson’s -1pt, freed up an extra £0.3m and hoping for more points over the rest of the month. The downside is now I don’t have any transfers to switch out Lukaku who twisted his ankle apparently and could miss ‘some games’… Brilliant!

  6. Was going to use last transfer for De gea to Ederson, Lukaku put the Kaibosh on that, I think a sensible move would be Havertz, next few games heavily in Chelsea’s favour, he has to play doesn’t he, & a probable price rise tomorrow, so doing transfer tonight would make sense, what’s everybody else thinking.

  7. I suppose the formation change could work for me, Man city next 4 games, could be big margin winning games, league cup fixture against West ham could be strong lineup as well, Mahrez, Foden, Havertz, not sure who will be best acquisition.
