Game Week 8 Transfers & Captain Choice

Game Week 8 Transfers & Captain Choice

Another tricky week for transfer decisions. My first one is straightforward, I’m taking Colwill out as Chelsea’s fixture now become more difficult and Tsimikas appears to be a good option with Robertson facing a spell on the sidelines. Liverpool also have good fixtures this week, although he may not play both, it’s a punt I’m willing to take at the moment.

My second transfer is more difficult. I could do nothing, but I’m worried that Saka won’t start or play a full game this weekend. I rode my luck on this when he first picked up an injury and he scored well that week. But then I kept him the week after and he didn’t feature against City. This time around it could go either way. It’s currently a decision between three players for me Saka, Odegaard or Trippier. Based on what we know right now it’s literally pot luck. Either one of them could score well this week or flop. Playing the odds, I don’t want to risk Saka not featuring so I am going to swap him for Odegaard for some Arsenal cover. It’s not a move I’m overly comfortable with to be honest, as it will be really frustrating if Saka starts this weekend. However, I don’t want to risk another week where he isn’t involved and Odegaard is up there points rise anyway so it’s not a downgrade as such.

Colwill out, Tsimikas in
Saka out, Odegaard in

Captain: n/a

Boosters: I’m going to play max captain this week. When looking at the fixtures, there are a number of players who could pick up big points: Alvarez, Salah, Fernandes, Odegaard, Haaland, even Maddison against Fulham. This could backfire if it is Haaland who picks up the big points but we’ve got to use the chips at some point and it makes sense to use them in a week like this when there’s some good fixtures across the board.
