September Transfers & Fixtures 2018

September Transfers & Fixtures 2018

With prices now locked in until the Premier League kicks back off later in the month. It’s a useful time to look at upcoming fixtures for September. There are only three game weeks but this does involve 6 games for the top clubs involved in Europe. Below I’ve detailed teams in order of the clubs with the best fixtures in September.

Man Utd (6 games)

Watford (A)
Young Boys (A)
Wolves (H)
Derby (H) – EFL Cup
West Ham (A)
Valencia (H)

Man City (6 games)

Fulham (H)
Lyon (H)
Cardiff (A)
Oxford (A) – EFL Cup
Brighton (H)
Hoffenhiem (A)

Arsenal (6 games)

Newcastle (A)
Vorskla
Everton (H)
Brentford (H) – EFL Cup
Watford (H)
Qarabag (A)

Chelsea (6 games)

Cardiff (H)
PAOK (A)
West Ham (A)
Liverpool (A) – EFL Cup
Liverpool (H)
Videoton (H)

Spurs (6 games)

Liverpool (H)
Inter (A)
Brighton (A)
Watford (H) – EFL Cup
Huddersfield (A)
Barcelona (H)

Liverpool (6 games)

Tottenham (A)
PSG (H)
Southampton (H)
Chelsea (H) – EFL Cup
Chelsea (A)
Napoli (A)

For me the two Manchester clubs have the best fixtures – with a favourable draw in the Champions League. Liverpool have by far the worst fixtures with some tough Premier League games but also two tough Champions League fixtures. Chelsea and Arsenal have good fixtures, however for me it’s a complete lottery around who will play in the Europa League.

  1. Very good article. Personally I am targeting Man city defenders as I’m sure they will rise in Sept. Also tempted by Hazard but I am not totally convinced by there fixtures following the Cardiff game

    1. GK J.Hart
      DEF Alonso
      DEF L.Shaw
      DEF A.Robertson
      MID S.Mane
      MID R.Sterling
      MID Richarlison
      MID Hazard or Pedro
      ST M.Salah
      ST S.Aguero
      ST Ings or Aub

I am stuck. Not sure whether to have Aub and pedro in or go for hazard and ings as I can’t afford to put Aub in if i get hazard…

      Help please 🙁

  2. here is my team after GW4
    hart
    mendy
    robertson
    luiz
    pedro
    hazard
    B silva
    keita
    kane
    salah
    serigo

my team is on 218 so not a terrible start but i do have some issues with my team. I’m not happy with both keita and B silva. i have no man utd players and they have the best fixtures so I’m going to opt for a man utd mid. i can’t afford pogba and i saw lingard is 3.7m so I’m tempted to take a shot on him. lingard is a player i can see also playing the carabao cup. any thoughts are welcomed and thanks for the help.

    1. Looks a solid team regardless of making any changes. You’ve already got Hazard in and the big three up front.

  3. Thoughts on the below please –

    Hart
    Robertson
    Bailly
    Shaw
    B.silva
    Mane
    Willian
    Pogba
    Salah
    Lukaku
    Aguero

Currently on 213. Hazard in for Willian! Laporte and Aubamyeang for Salah and Bailly or Mendy and Lacazette for salad and Bailly?? Haven’t got the funds for both auba and Mendy! I’ve got a feeling Laca could well this month and is a bargain at 3.9 mil. Laporte rotation worries me!

    1. I wouldn’t rush into anything with that team. Man Utd have decent fixtures but I’m not sure if Bailly will play so worth keeping an eye on that. B. Silva could be rotated a lot. I’m not a huge fan of Pogba, I’d try and swap him for Hazard as it’s not a huge step up in value.

  4. Option 1 – Firminho for Lukaku, Ozil for Pedro and Pickford for DDG or option 2 – Ozil for Pedro Mahrez for Lucas moura and Pickford for DDG ? Uniteds fixtures tempt me to bin Firminho as Lukaku will play every game as the no 9 whereas Firminho May be rotated/rested with really tough fixtures in the next 7 weeks ?

    1. De Gea wouldn’t interest me to be honest. I like the look of Lukaku’s fixtures and I’d prefer him myself over Firmino.

  5. Thanks for advice mate. What keeper then – ederson ? I’ve got stones and don’t like doubling up on same players – DDG should keep clean sheets with the fixtures ??

    1. For me Ederson is better value. He’s their only option in goal at the moment I believe. Man Utd have some cheap defenders.
